To get rid of the excess weight that hangs over the waist of your jeans this is the perfect period of the year. Especially now when it is hot and every part of your body is more exposed it can make you feel embarrassed.
The high plank might look familiar. Lay yourself on the floor in a push-up position. Keeping your buttocks tight and your navel toward the spine raise yourself to a plank position. Hold the position for 15 seconds, and then lower yourself back to the floor. Give this a try ten times.
Next, try the lunge reach. Stand with your feet hip-width apart, knees slightly bent and your arms at your side. Raising your arms above your head lunge forward with your left leg. To the starting position push off your left leg to return. Alternating sides repeat the lunge reach 16 times.
The hands-up hop is actually a fun one. Stand with your feet hip-width apart, knees slightly bent and hands on your hips. Raising your right knee step forward with your left foot. Extending your arms overhead hop straight up on your left leg. Land with your feet together, hands on your hips. Alternating sides repeat this 20 times.
With the squat jump you may really feel the burn. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent and your hands by your sides. Lifting your arms overhead squat then jump straight up. Lowering your hands by your sides land in a squat. Try it 12 times.
Last but not least is the lunge jump. With your left leg bent and your arms overhead stand in a lunge position. Jump straight up switching your legs in mid-air so that you land in a lunge with the right leg in front. Repeat the jump 12 times for each side.
