5 HEALTHY BREAKFAST SMOOTHIES THAT TASTE LIKE HOLIDAY DESSERTS

Holiday desserts are arguably one of the best parts of the holiday season. As much as we’d love to gorge on all our favorite treats until New Year’s, it’s not exactly the best idea for your waistline.
Luckily, you can get your dessert fix in record time by turning your morning smoothie into a sweet treat. These delicious and healthy breakfast smoothies taste just like your favorite holiday desserts — think pumpkin pie and eggnog — but come with a fraction of the calories. Plus, they’re loaded with good-for-you ingredients that will keep you full and fueled till lunchtime. These weight loss smoothies may taste like you’re being naughty, but we promise you’ll stay on the nice list.

  What you’ll need:

1 cup pumpkin purée 1 large ripe banana 1 cup unsweetened soymilk or coconut milk beverage 1 tablespoon honey 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

5 ice cubes

What to do: Add ingredients to blender, and blend until smooth.

What you’ll need:

1 cup frozen sliced peaches 1 (5.3 oz) container Silk vanilla yogurt alternative 3/4 cup Silk vanilla soy milk 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Optional: additional sweetener of choice

What to do: Add ingredients to blender, and blend until smooth.

  • Banana Cream Pie Smoothie

What you’ll need:

1 cup sliced ripe banana (about 1 large) 1 cup vanilla low-fat yogurt 1/2 cup 1 percent low-fat milk 2 tablespoons whole-wheat graham cracker crumbs 1 tablespoon nonfat dry milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 3 ice cubes (about 1/4 cup)

2 tablespoons whole wheat graham cracker crumbs, plus additional for garnish

What to do: Add ingredients to blender, and blend until smooth.

What you’ll need:

1 frozen banana 1/2 apple (whatever type you want), cored, peeled and chopped 1 cup almond milk 1/2 cup apple cider 1 tablespoon maple syrup 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

What to do: Add ingredients to blender, and blend until smooth.

What you’ll need:

1-1/2 cups coconut milk 1 small banana, frozen 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 tablespoon molasses 1/4 teaspoon stevia

1 cup ice

What to do: Add ingredients to blender, and blend until smooth.
